Jee Su Kim (b. 1999) is a South Korean photo-based artist, born in Wales (UK) and raised in China. She studied abroad from Hong Kong to Atlanta, GA, and is now currently based in Korea. Growing up in a multicultural background as a Third Culture Kid (TCK), she was constantly challenged with finding a sense of belonging, enabling her to channel isolation and otherness into a source of empowerment. Her work captures the poetry in the mundane and draws intimate narratives rooted in themes of alienation, displacement, and cultural homelessness, delving into diverse definitions of identity and belonging.
